Candle Care Guidelines

We pour a lot of love into hand-crafting each of our delicate candles, making them all one-of-a-kind with their own subtle variations, uniquely yours. To ensure the best burn for your new candle, please follow these candle care guidelines:

Safety first

We know you’re excited to light your new candle! But before you do, please take a moment to read the caution warning label located on the base of your jar to ensure safe use.

If you’ve purchased a wax melt, don’t forget to review The Candle Safety Instructions card included in your order. Your safety is our top priority—happy burning!

The first burn

For the best results, allow your candle to burn until the wax melts evenly across the entire surface, reaching the edges of the glass. This typically takes 2-3 hours, depending on your environment. Doing so prevent tunnelling and ensures your candle burns beautifully every time.

Trim your wick

Always trim your wick to 2mm before each burn. This helps maintain a steady flame and prevents soot from building up. If you notice smoke or a tall flame, extinguish the candle, let the wax cool, trim the wick to 2mm, and relight for a cleaner, safer burn.

Safety Precautions

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep candles away from drafts, vents, and fans to prevent uneven burning or excessive smoking.
  • Always extinguish candles before leaving the room or going to sleep.
  • Burn candles out of reach of children and pets.
  • Keep candles away from flammable objects like furniture, curtains, bedding, carpets, books, paper, or decorations.
  • Do not burn the candle down to the very bottom. Leave 1 cm of wax to avoid the risk of the glass cracking.
