Candle Care

All of our candles are delicately hand-crafted in the smallest batch and therefore may have their own unique minor variations between each candle.

To ensure you get the best burn of your new candle, we recommend you to follow the below guidelines:

Safety first

Please take a look at the warning label on the base of your candle prior to lighting.

The first burn

On your first burn, allow the top layer of the melted wax to reach the edge of the glass before extinguishing. This may take 2-3 hours depending on the environment to prevent your candle from tunnelling.

Trim your wick

Trim your wick to 5mm prior to each burn. This ensures a steady flame and will help prevent soot from forming. If you notice smoke or the flame becoming too high, extinguish the flame. Wait for the wax to solidify then trim your trim to 5mm and relight.

Safety Precautions

  • Never leave candle burning unattended. Do not set in a draft. Extinguish candle when leaving a room, house or going to sleep.
  • Burn candles out of reach from children and pets.
  • Burn candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations or anything that can catch on fire.
  • Do not burn your candle all the way down. Leave 5mm wax at the bottom to prevent glass from potentially cracking.
